Facing my Fears and shakin' in my Nike's....
Anyone that knows me (even casual aquaintances) knows that I have an extremely deep rooted~heart stopping~pee your pants~Fear of Big dogs...not many know the full truth...that even little dogs can stop my heart and leave me lookin' for a safe place to hide. It is extremely embarrassing and completely insane but I have been terrified of dogs for as long as I can remember and the sad thing is that all dogs(with the exception of Reish's dog, Anna's dog and my own two beagles) know this about me and they feed off it like vultures!! Looking at me out of the corner of their eyes and crouching down like rabid crazed animals just to see the weird human pee herself(technically I haven't actually wet myself though there have been uncomfortable moments!!).When I was a little girl all dogs wanted to bite me and most of them did...I was bitten savagely in the hip by a german sheppard named Goober (I think I still have a few of his teeth embedded in my flesh) I was biten on the back of the heel by a small "benji~type dog named Heidi...once a big old stray dog that was roaming around a farm that my parents and sister and I were moving into, peed on my leg and then growled at me ..I didn't stick around long enough for him to bite me but he meant to. I was chased down a hill and bitten continuously all over my body by a dog at a birthday party when I was 10..the 20 children he had just been kissing stared on in disbelief ...when I was 23 I worked in a bakery with 5 people that used to feed a big black lab fresh baked bagels every morning...they begged me to feed him with them saying "We promise he won't bite you" ...If I had a dollar for every time I've heard those words...YEP...right in the hand and he drew blood lots and lots of blood!! The list goes on and on ...I'm sure you've read enough to make you understand the full extent of the rest of this post....Today I walked willingly into the blazing pits of DOG FEAR HELL just to find a friend for my children...I just wanted to ask our neighbor if her daughter would like to play with my girls sometime...and her son came out their back door unleashing Satans Spawn in a number totaling SEVEN !! Yes SEVEN Giant barking growling fang baring snarling demons from hell and I'm pretty sure their breed is Doberman!! It was like every horror dog story of my life wrapped into 5 nightmarish minutes.I literally felt every single hair on my body stand on end and the air all around my face actually crackled with the presence of mortal fear.I'm pretty sure my neighbor thought I was a lunatic as I grabbed my daughter shoved her behind me while running backwards toward my truck screaming to the top of my lungs "can Ana come and play with my girls sometime we live in the white house down the road...my number is..." Yeah ..I'm pretty sure she won't be letting her sweet baby play in the house of the "Psycho" that lives down the road...I would not be the poster child for the "Face your Fears" theory...

I have witnessed many of your dog encounters and beleive me I am in awe at the cruel disdane dogs feel for you it's quite amazing. The most cutest little angel dog turns aggresive in your presence, not sure what to make of it. I however am certain that you more likely put my sweet little neice between you and the dogs and that when you got home the first thing you did was change your shorts! give it up Luc you know you did!
Actually I am amazed I didn't use my own daughter for a human shield!! But the truth is I did protect her ...
I remember taking walks in the old neighborhood when a few dogs scared the living daylights out of you and you scaring me!! Didn't you end up behind me...leaving me out front to protect you?!?! How many times did we cross over to the other side of the street to continue our walk? I think where it concerns Zephyr...knowing that she'd only lick you to death calms that panicked soul of yours!!
I completely trust Zeph I think it may have alot to do with the fact that I've known her since a pup and she'd never hurt a fly..GOOD DOG!!
