Let's just get our "SH _ T" together already
I am obviously referring to Hurricane Katrina and all of the peoples lives she has destoyed. Why is it taking soooo ungodly long for our country to get our crap together and just get those people out of New Orleans and the surrounding areas?! How come we can manage to organize flights to get food and water in but we can't manage to come up with a way to get more people out!! It is very frustrating to watch all of those people and their children crying and begging for help and then in the same video shot watch as several National Guards stand around with confused looks on their faces. I am a great distance physically removed from this tragedy yet I feel sick and frustrated and angry enough to start throwing punches at anything that moves ~ so I can imagine the anger and fear that all of those people are feeling .Just for the love of God get them out!! So Mister President if you are reading my Blog could ya just get it together and come to the rescue of OUR people?!!

It is pretty sad what is going on down there, but some of the blame needs to go on the idiots who find it necessary to shoot at the rescuers trying to save lives. There has been enough lives lost and it would be a shame to see rescuers' lives lost just because they were trying to help those in need. I can only hope that the thousands of National Guards people that have been called to duty to help there can get order back and take some swift action on those who have taken advantage of a tragic situation.
Well said...as for the idiots shooting at the people trying to help..there always has to be a jackass in the mix..though I think that the slow going has more to do with the lack of direction.
Just in case there may be any misunderstanding..I am in NO way disrespecting our National Guardsmen they are obviously doing what they can to get this situation under control.
I think you are right about the slow going being somewhat because of lack of direction. Where do you begin with such a disaster? I know you weren't disrespecting the National Guard; they can only do so much in this situation that has spiraled out of control at the moment.
I totally agree things need to get going a whole lot faster those people were starving and without water and shelter for 4 days in America people that is unexceptable!
